23/3/20 Act Fast To Stop Your Standing Orders

Corona Virus - Cancel Standing Orders ...

As you know, schools have now been closed to the vast majority of students.

We have been following the situation and apart from key workers children and ECHP pupils transport that we are offering, there will be no further buses to and from school, you must stop all payments for bus fares until further notice.

The next due payment is 27th March, so you need to act fast to ask your bank to cancel your standing order.

We will email you all individually with information about new standing orders starting when the schools are open again.

20/3/20 Key Workers Children and ECHP Pupils School Travel

Key Workers Children and ECHP Pupils School Travel

We can now confirm that we will be offering travel to key workers children and ECHP pupils who presently use our bus service and need transporting to St Clere's Academy, Hassenbrook Academy and Gable Hall School, following the 7A route through Grays, Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary as from Monday 23rd March until the end of term.

We will then assess the situation during the Easter break and following the governments advice, will make an informed decision regarding the same travel for next term. This will add a further strain to our finances and therefore our ability to continue, will be dependent upon our financial position at that time.

For route timetable click the link to the left of this page entitled Route 7A TIMETABLE – St Cleres and note that St Clere's Academy will be the first stop in the morning followed by Hassenbrook Academy and Gable Hall School. The afternoon will start at St Clere's Academy, then Hassenbrook Academy, and finally Gable Hall School, before departing along the route. This will of course mean that the arrival times at home will be 15-20 minutes later than listed in the route timetable.

20/3/20 Corona Virus – Covid 19 and Keane Travel Buses

We’re taking our responsibilities to respond to Coronavirus – Covid 19 really seriously. First and foremost, let me promise you that looking after your children while they travel with us is our number one priority, which is why we’re staying close to the advice from Government to make sure we’re doing the right things.

All our buses have undergone a thorough deep clean and every surface, bell push, hand rail, seat back, window and door push is being sanitised before every trip.

Of course all schools are closing for the vast majority of students, but some schools must remain open so that key workers children and pupils on an EHCP can attend. We are presently in discussion with St Clere's Academy, Hassenbrook Academy and Gable Hall School, to ensure that these students will have transport available for them, if they presently use our bus service. More information will follow regarding this sometime later today.

As for those students who must stay at home, we are waiting for Government advice before confirming what will happen regarding bus fare payments. We expect to clarify the situation over the weekend regarding this issue.

Most importantly, I hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy during this time.  Keep smiling, wash your hands. Keep in touch with vulnerable people who may be self isolating. We are all in this together, and we will get through it together.

Finally, I want to take a moment to thank our staff and colleagues for their incredible efforts during these unprecedented times. Their efforts to keep our vehicles a safe environment for our school students to travel in has been beyond the call of duty.
